Psalm 107:31 Oh, that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! (KJV)

Psalm 50:23 He who offers a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving honors Me; And to him who orders his way rightly [who follows the way that I show him], I shall show the salvation of God. (AMP)

Psalm 50:23 It’s the praising life that honors me. As soon as you set your foot on the Way, I’ll show you my salvation. (MSG)

  • A Praise life
    • this is a lifestyle that intentionally and deliberately chooses to praise God,
    • that chooses to be thankful and
    • to be grateful even when things don’t make sense)
    • A lifestyle that we must intentionally seek to have and cultivate.

  • Think about it,
    • having a praise lifestyle should be easy peasy isn’t?
    • It’s just about thanking God for his daily blessings and goodness.
    • But I realise that this can actually be a challenge for many believers including myself
    • sometimes especially in seasons when we find ourselves in unexpected difficulties or
    • go through challenging times that leaves us overwhelmed.
  • But today’s verses let’s us into one of God’s desires and that is – a praising lifestyle which is what honors him.
  • So, today let’s ask God for grace to always be thankful and to ask for his forgiveness where we have felt entitled and have not honoured him as we should.
  • Today, I encourage you to intentionally pause and to take a moment out of our busy schedule to reflect on God’s faithfulness and daily blessings.
  • Thank your Heavenly Father
    • for his goodness, constant love, mercy, marvelous love, loyal love, faithful love, unfailing love, great love, loving devotion, loving kindness, wondrous works, gracious love, wonderful works ( the list is endless) and the amazing and wonderful things he does for his people.
  • Psalm 50:23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God
    • it says because a praise life honours God.
  • Therefore, as you go about your business and activities this month,
    • be determined to cultivate a praise lifestyle even when you don’t get the answers to your prayers or things don’t go the way you expect.
    • Be intentional about creating an atmosphere that will trigger you to praise God just like
    • David demonstrated in
      • 2 Samuel 6:14, 21-22 “And David danced before the LORD with all his might, wearing a priestly garment” 21 And David said unto Michal, It was before the Lord, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel: therefore will I play before the Lord.
      • 22 And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.
    • Hang around people that will spur you to offer sacrifice of praises and thanksgiving and not those that will scorn at you just like a David wife did in
      • 2 Samuel 6:16, 20 “As the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David leaping and dancing before the LORD, and she despised him in her heart.”
      • 2 Samuel 6:20 Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!
      • therefore dishonouring God and unfortunately this led to God causing her to be barren
        • 2 Samuel 6:23 Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.
      • As as often as you can, choose to create a moment in your busy schedule for a ‘Reflection Time’ to honour a God with the fruits of your lips.
        • Set out praise times where you don’t ask your Heavenly Father for anything
        • yes you might have pressing prayer requests to share with him and situations you desperately want him to intervene in
        • instead all you do is offer him a sacrifices of praise and just to say ‘Thank You’ Lord’.
        • By doing this as today’s Bible verse encourages, you will be honouring your Heavenly Father.
      • Today, I encourage you again even in the midst of your pain to praise the Lord for his goodness,
        • to sing a new song to him,
        • to bring your sacrifice of praise and
        • to pour out your worship to him like an alabaster box for all the wondrous things you can bring to mind he has done for you and your family.
      • Make this month count by creating a Reflection Time to honor your Heavenly Father by giving thanks to Him for his faithful love and for his wondrous works for all humanity.”

  • Remember, Psalm 50:23 says …But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me e.
    • “He who offers a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving honors Me;”

  • Here’s a saying that I trust will bless you –
