BIBLE TEXT: Ephesians 2:20-22 (KJV)
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
LESSON INTRODUCTION: Simply put, a cornerstone is that capstone which gives firmness to a building or house. Figuratively, that which is prominent, fundamental, noteworthy or central. On this note, as a Christian, Jesus Christ should be our Chief cornerstone in our families and relationships. Furthermore, the Holy Spirit speaks expressly in Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
LEADERS DIARY:
LESSON AIM: To make all and sundry understand that Christ is the Chief cornerstone that cannot fail if we allow Him into our lives.
TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should be able to:
i. Explain what and who is the Chief cornerstone.
ii. And the benefits of making Him your chief cornerstone.
TEXT REVIEW: Ephesians 2:20-22
i. Jesus Christ is the Chief cornerstone.
ii. All buildings (i.e.) the gospel must fitly frame on Him.

ACTIVITY: Why must we make Christ our Chief cornerstone?
SUMMARY: The foundation of the Lord is still standing sure.
CONCLUSION: Every decision of life without God will lead to frustration and regret. There is a popular saying that ‘HAD I KNOWN, IS THE LAST STATEMENT OF A FOOL’.
