TOPIC: Beware Of The Strange Woman

OPENING PRAYER: Father, please give me grace for self control.

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: How can phones / ICT be abused? The leader should ask the members.

MEMORY VERSE: “3 For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil: 4 But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword.” – Proverbs 5:3-4

BIBLE TEXT: Proverbs 23:24-28 (KJV)

24 The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.

25 Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.

26 My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.

27 For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.

28 She also lieth in wait as for a prey, and increaseth the transgressors among men.

LESSON INTRODUCTION: The strange woman could be seen as an adulterous woman who entices or lures any man into sin of adultery or fornication. Any woman you are into relationship with outside your marriage, is a strange woman. What makes her strange is that her works or ways are in total contradiction to the word of God.

: To expose or bring to limelight the works of the adulterous or strange woman.

TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should be able to:
i. Understand who a strange woman is.
ii. Distance themselves from them before they strike.

TEXT REVIEW: Proverbs 23:24-28
i. Having affairs with a strange woman is like entering into a deep and a narrow pit.
ii. Such a person will become a prey to the devil.

TEACHING METHOD: The leader should use the interactive / discussion method.

i. Make a strong decision to discontinue with the strange woman.
ii. Ask God for forgiveness and mercy.
iii. Totally surrender your life to Jesus Christ.
